Alexandre Saliba on National Championship Men's Soccer Team

Alexandre Saliba, a freshman from Rio De Janeiro and a graduate of Anderson RV High School is a member of the 2012 NJCAA Division III national championship men's soccer team at Herkimer County Community College. It was the second consecutive national title and the ninth overall for the program. The Generals won the championship game against Montgomery College 1-0 with 4:20 left in a second overtime period. The team also won the NJCAA Region III championship, the 23rd consecutive regional title for Herkimer and the 24th overall.

Herkimer County Community College is a unit of the State University of New York, located in Herkimer, NY about 20 miles east of Utica, NY. With an enrollment of approximately 3,600 students, Herkimer offers more than 40 associate degree and certificate programs, on-campus housing, an active co-curricular activities schedule and a national championship athletic program. Herkimer is a Division III member of the National Junior College Athletic Association and has amassed 36 national, 90 regional and 133 conference championships. Herkimer placed third in the 2011-12 National Alliance of Two-Year College Athletic Administrators (NATYCAA) Cup competition.
