Jordanna Dodge Receives NJCAA Academic Team Honors

Jordanna Dodge of Frankfort, a Liberal Arts & Sciences: General Studies major was a member of the Herkimer County Community College women's bowling team. The team was recently named 2011-12 NJCAA Academic Team of the Year for earning the highest overall team GPA in the sport nationally. The Herkimer women's bowling team earned the honor with an overall team GPA of 3.47.

HCCC Director of Athletics Donald Dutcher said, "We are proud that our athletic teams excel in the classroom as well as on the field. They are outstanding student-athletes."

Herkimer County Community College is a unit of the State University of New York, located in Herkimer, NY about 20 miles east of Utica, NY. With an enrollment of approximately 3,600 students, Herkimer offers more than 40 associate degree and certificate programs, on-campus housing, an active co-curricular activities schedule and a national championship athletic program. Herkimer is a Division III member of the National Junior College Athletic Association and has amassed 36 national, 89 regional and 131 conference championships. Herkimer placed third in the 2011-12 National Alliance of Two-Year College Athletic Administrators (NATYCAA) Cup competition.
